Burt Hill was retained by long-standing client, Bonneville International Corporation, to facilitate the consolidation and reorganization of its growing media outlets in the Washington, DC area.  Some of its stations, including music stations WWZZ and WGMS, as well as the local flagship, 24-hour news station WTOP, had outgrown their current studio space and needed to expand their broadcast and production studios and support spaces.

Due to schedule and budget constraints, these projects were phased over a four-year period between 2003 and 2007.  Burt Hill provided design services for a combined 14 broadcast and production studios, a 2,000-square-foot newsroom featuring glass-enclosed main air studios, and a dynamic editor’s desk as the focal point.  In addition to the studio spaces, 75 workstations and offices for executive station management, engineering, and sales staff, a 25-person board room, and 20-rack tech center were provided.

Burt Hill’s proven experience in the broadcast arena has provided enhanced value to this client in coping with the challenges of expansion while maintaining the quality and continuity of their product throughout the construction process.
