Spang & Company

Pittsburgh, PA

34,000 sqare feet

After relocating to Pittsburgh, Spang & Company took the opportunity to re-energize its 108-year-old legacy.  The new headquarters represents a shift in traditional working methods and the introduction of open offices for the first time in the company's history.  The design maximizes daylight for all staff members by placing most of the constructed elements toward the center of the building, lowering workstation panel heights, optimizing glass elements, and lowering full height partitions.  Visual interest is enhanced through a variety of ceiling planes, contemporary furniture systems, and the ample use of decorative glass, granite, and metal accents.  A new glass-enclosed atrium marks the point of entry.
