The design for a single-family, five-bedroom residence is based on modern principles of architecture, with clean geometric shapes and a dramatic approach to both spatial organization and lighting. A long visual spine divides the open public portions of the house from the private living quarters, and draws visitors from the foyer through the house to the private dining court on the back side.
Internally, the house is designed with richer materials and bigger volumes to provide a grand ambiance for the owner as well as for the prestigious guests who visit on a regular basis.
As the villa is located on a 10,500-square-foot plot located in a prime urban area, the landscaping is designed to buffer it from the adjoining bungalows and provide a sense of separation from the rest of the city. The front garden is landscaped to entertain frequent, large formal parties.
