As part of the MotorCity development, High Street will feature retail, hospitality, and commercial venues. Designed to function as the main thoroughfare through the development, the street is flanked by 11 buildings ranging in size from four to ten stories, and nearly 5,000 surface and underground parking spaces. Pedestrian friendly accents include street cafés and detailed landscaping.
Red "sticks" along High Street’s median take on a sculptural element and become the focus of the road. The varying height of the sticks mimics the rhythm and speed of the adjacent Autodrome, becoming a fluid ribbon of movement along the street. As a unifying element, they define the district and speak to the language of MotorCity.
