As part of the University of Pennsylvania Health System, the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania supports the tri-fold mission of patient care, education, and research. We have worked as partners with the hospital in its efforts to provide a world-class environment for its patients and staff. Projects have included renovation of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery clinical suites to accommodate larger exam rooms and clinical work areas; renovations to the OB/GYN Department including 2,300 square feet of renovated office space for the department chair and 600 square feet of clinical space; a 30-bed cardiac intermediate care unit with three new nursing stations that allow better patient access to the staff; a 22,000-square-foot inpatient nursing unit with universal beds; and a new, eight-bed clinical decision unit. The goal of each project is to maximize both patient satisfaction and utilization of resources.
