Elementerra
Commissioned through one of our recent international master planning projects, Burt Hill conducted internal research to develop energy-conscious, sustainable technologies whose functions would supplement and greatly enhance our master plan design. Initially, the research was done in an effort to find innovative solutions for climate-related issues and methods for improving connectivity. However, these new patent-pending technologies have opened the door to a potential product line, Elementerra, which focuses on utilizing renewable energy sources – such as geothermal, solar and wind. The innovation lies not only within the technology itself, but rather in its flexibility and adaptability, as it can be incorporated into an array of concepts based on specific user/client needs. From there, the actual product’s design is as simple as collaborating with clients and end-users on aesthetics and form. This is a major breakthrough for Burt Hill, as we can now consider ways to incorporate the technologies into all of our projects at an early stage, highlighting the economic and environmental benefits to our clients. Usage spans across all market sectors and disciplines, and is in keeping with Burt Hill’s commitment to sustainable design.
