Experiencing strong growth in admissions and new programs, Drexel needed a housing facility to accommodate new students. East Hall offers an alternative to traditional, institutional-style residences. The facility houses 313 students in four- and six-person, apartment-style suites with private baths and kitchenettes. The exterior responds to the surrounding context of mid-rise academic and commercial buildings, while the curtain-walled portion of the building exposes the public and circulation areas, and provides views of the city.
