Children's Hospital of Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is one of the leading pediatric hospitals and research facilities in the world, with an ongoing commitment to exceptional patient care, training new generations of healthcare providers, and pioneering significant research initiatives.

The Alex Scott Day Hospital was designed to expand and enhance the hospital's oncology department.  Each of fourteen open therapy areas has a recliner outfitted with a flat-screen television, PlayStation, and internet capabilities.  Five private rooms are available for patients who require additional privacy or a bed, and a child-life playroom offers entertainment for both patients and family members.

The hospital is also one of the few pediatric institutions with magnetoencephalography (MEG) capabilities, a new imaging technique used to diagnose brain disorders in children.  The lab includes an MEG scanner, control room, staff work area, sedation bay, and other associated support space.
