50 Minuteman park was the first of six new buildings Burt Hill designed at MinutemanPark, a premier office park near Boston. The building was designed to accommodate offices, electronics research, development labs, and a customer data service center. A central atrium is the focus of the interior space, allowing natural light to enter the building. The building skin utilizes high performance, low-E reflective glazing applied in a mosaic of blue and green tones, as well as insulated metal panels designed for optimal performance and reduced energy costs. Four primary stair core elements are expressed as solid masonry masses that contrast with the light, high-tech quality of the skin.
