Tom Demko
Principal
Tom is a principal in our Butler office where he has served as lead designer on a number of major healthcare and laboratory projects. It is his responsibility to conceive an architectural direction that strengthens and conveys each client's mission. But it is his ability to help clients visualize their projects during the early concept phases that really sets his work apart. His design illustrations combine rapid sketching with a masterful blend of free-hand water colors overlaid on 3D computer models. These sketches create interesting and life-like spaces that get everyone involved excited about what the project will become. From there, Tom can effectively work through the technical and construction phases to make his designs a reality. Early in his career, Tom served as an adjunct instructor of design illustration within Carnegie Mellon University's Department of Architecture, sharing this unique method with the next wave of professionals.
