Pete Moriarty

President, Chief Executive Officer, Board of Directors

Pete is president and chief executive officer, and a member of the executive committee of Burt Hill.  He joined the firm in 1974 as an architectural intern, and since then has practiced in almost all of the firm's market sectors.  He is intensely interested in the changes that are occurring in the real estate industry as a result of new business models, technology and connectivity.  His portfolio includes a number of nationally-significant historic landmarks, including the Wanamaker Building in his native city of Philadelphia.  Pete began his Burt Hill career in Butler and went on to open the Pittsburgh and Philadelphia offices.  He also was instrumental in developing the Boston and Atlanta markets, and from mid-1998 through mid-2000, Pete transferred to Europe to oversee international commercial projects on behalf of Burt Hill and several major clients.  He then realized that in order to be competitive we had to be global.  We opened offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, UAE, and Ahmedabad, India.  A 1970 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Pete did his thesis project while living in Rome.  He resides in Washington, DC,and splits his time among all of the Burt Hill offices.
