Michael Reagan
Principal, Vice President, Board of Directors
Michael is the managing principal of the Cleveland office, our director of science and technology, and a member of the board of directors. He is nationally recognized as an authority on the architectural and technological intricacies of laboratory planning and design. Throughout his 29-year career, Michael has planned and designed a number of projects involving instructional and research facilities at colleges and universities including Cornell, Carnegie Mellon and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Prior to joining Burt Hill, he worked at Ellenzweig on projects at Harvard, Stanford, MIT, and Johns Hopkins. He also served on a subcommittee of the National Research Council and contributed to Laboratory Design, Construction, and Renovation - Participants, Process, and Product, which is a national standard for the process related to the design of research labs. Michael brings a different layer of knowledge to the firm through his involvement with Project Kaleidoscope (PKAL), an informal national alliance of individuals, institutions and organizations committed to strengthening undergraduate science, mathematics, engineering and technology education. He received his bachelor’s degree in environmental design from Miami University and his master’s in architecture from the University of Michigan.
