Dick Rittelmann

Throughout his illustrious career at Burt Hill, Dick has been a driving force behind the firm’s leadership in technological advances. In addition to internationally-recognized expertise in the fields of energy conserving design, research, and energy management, he has been a frequent lecturer on energy-efficient design and state-of-the-art laboratories and teaching facilities, and is also widely published in those areas. As an active member of the design and research community, Dick has held leadership positions with numerous organizations including the Research Advisory Board of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, UIA, Integrated Building and Construction Solutions (IBACOS) research consortium, International Energy Agency, and the Building Energy Conservation Commission for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Dick served in the U.S. Navy Pacific Fleet after graduating from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1961 with a Bachelor of Architecture.
