Following many years representing Burt Hill in several areas of practice, Bob switched teams and became our Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel in February 2006 and is now a principal in the firm. Bob’s role at Burt Hill is to assist the management, principals and employees in following best practices to better serve our clients. He focuses his litigation experience, contracting knowledge, and client service to achieve successful contracting relationships and more problem-free projects. Bob came to Burt Hill from the law firm of Burns, White & Hickton, where he practiced construction law, construction, environmental and real estate litigation, contract drafting and negotiation, and business counseling for many design professionals and other firms for 16 years. He has represented professionals in civil matters in state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and arbitration tribunals. Bob is a triple threat with a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy/Public Finance from Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs; a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Houston; and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law School.
